Dr. Torrey Rassfeld, DPM, C.Ped, FACFAOM
Dr. Rassfeld, a Nebraska native, grew up in Omaha and received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Dr. Rassfeld earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1998 from the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Rassfeld completed his residency at Des Moines General Hospital and is Board Certified in all aspects of foot and ankle care by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Rassfeld also attended Oklahoma State University where he earned his certification in Pedorthics. A Pedorthist is a health care professional who specializes in the use of footwear and supportive devices to address conditions which affect the feet and lower limbs. Dr. Rassfeld is one of only a handful of podiatrists in the country who are also certified in pedorthics, and he is the only podiatrist with such certification in the state of Nebraska.
After his residency training, Dr. Rassfeld practiced podiatry in Sidney, Nebraska for 8 years before moving to Lincoln to begin practicing in 2007. Dr. Rassfeld formed Rassfeld Foot and Ankle in 2018 in order to continue to provide quality care in the areas he specializes. Dr. Rassfeld treats a wide range of podiatric issues. He specializes in diabetic foot care, wound care, foot and ankle biomechanics, and is a maker of custom orthotics, shoes and boots.
Dr. Rassfeld is an avid runner who also specializes in the treatment of sports-related injuries. Dr. Rassfeld is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Pedorthic Footcare Association. Dr. Rassfeld was appointed to the Nebraska State Board of Podiatry in 2011 by the Nebraska State Board of Health. Dr. Rassfeld is the past President of the Nebraska Podiatric Medical Association.
